Curried Lamb

Ingredients:
• 2 teaspoons grated ginger
• 1 teaspoon turmeric
• 1 kg cubed lamb
• 3 sliced onions
• 1 cinnamon stick
• 8 cloves
• 4 crushed garlic cloves
• 8 cardamoms
• 2 chopped chillies
• 1 teaspoon ground coriander
• 400g chopped tomatoes
• 100ml water
• 80ml yoghurt
Method:
• Mix grated ginger, turmeric and lamb
• Fry onions with cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamoms, crushed garlic, chopped chillies and ground coriander.
• Add the lamb and fry until well browned
• Add chopped tomatoes and water
• Simmer for 1 hour
• Stir in yoghurt.
Serve with:
• Rice
• Naan bread
• Poppadoms
Serves: 4

I'm definitely not a big fan of curry in general. I gave this recipe a go because my other half loves the oriental food. She absolutely loved this recipe although she couldn't initially understand why I cooked it for dinner.
I would have to say it's a very zesty recipe indeed. Serving it with microwaved poppadoms I would have to say it's worth trying this recipe at home. The curry didn't even seem that overpowering.

An absolutely gorgeous recipe. Rich with flavours and aroma. It takes some time but it's definitely worth the effort.
