Today's technology of photography is just getting better for people to keep the good and most worth remembering memories. With the rise of digital photography, photo editing and fast image printing, taking and keeping the best pictures out form the most memorable experience is never a hassle. Because of these all technological advancements, compiling all the pictures in one good scrapbook is now just as easy as a b c.

Scrapbook rose into popularity since people learned to become more creative in keeping pictures than just inserting the photos inside the plastic window of photo albums. What is good about scrapbooking is that you can compile your photo images according to its events as you can make a scrapbook according to the theme and style you want.

Holiday season is one of the best days to take pictures of all your family members and compile it inside one good mini-album. In fact, various holiday scrapbooking materials and accessories are available in the market right now. Most scrapbookers though have a tendency to buy all these stuff and tend to be less creative. Ideas are rather conventional and the essence of being artistic is gone because of so many accessories stuffed inside the book.

In making a good Christmas scrapbook do not require you to be artistically genius. All you have to do is to always keep in mind that the images and the pictures you take is what makes up the holiday experience memorable. Thus it is good to use only the appropriate accessories from colors, to shapes and theme patterns. A picture of your kids wearing Christmas costume, or your children sitting on Santa's lap and opening their Christmas presents will do.

For your layout, you can trim the standard scrapbook size (12 x 12 inches) into 12 x 8inches as your background for your layout as most photo card manufacturers make 4 x 6 photos. Writing a short descriptive sentence on the page close to the picture will be a good way to describe the picture, plus it gives a sense of personal touch. You can use happy fonts to make the scrapbook look consistent.
